On the other side, you have Vetinari \u2014 who doesn\u2019t argue loudly, doesn\u2019t interrupt, doesn\u2019t even really disagree.
He just\u2026 lets people explain themselves until their own logic quietly collapses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s the interesting part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one is lying.
They just define reality differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then there\u2019s Moist, wandering through all this like a man who accidentally walked into a philosophy seminar while trying to fix a broken post office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He starts to realize something subtle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The system didn\u2019t fail because it was inefficient. And once that shift happens, everything still \u201cworks\u201d\u2026 Meanwhile, Vetinari plays the long game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He\u2019s not trying to win the argument. Almost like chess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Or as they literally discuss: Thud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And then, quietly, almost as a side note, comes the real idea:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Freedom is complicated.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Too much of it, and people eat each other.
