Chapter 9 of Don Quixote feels like Cervantes suddenly remembered he forgot the ending and solved it by inventing another narrator.
The fight is about to happen… and the story just stops.
Instead of ignoring it, the narrator goes out and finds the missing story — as random papers, translated from Arabic.
So now the story continues… but as something second-hand.
