Don Quixote – Chapter XXXIII – Summary

Don Quixote – Chapter XXXIII – Summary:
He doesn’t lose her because she fails.
He loses her because he asked the question.

A man has everything.
A loyal friend.
A good wife.
Peace.

So naturally… he decides to test it.

Not because he doubts her.
But because he wants proof.

And that’s the crack.

His friend sees it clearly:
Some truths don’t need testing.
Because the test itself destroys them.

But curiosity wins.

Core idea:

It’s not about betrayal.
It’s about the need to verify love.

And that need…
is already a form of distrust.

  1. Not everything can stay the same after it has been poked, twisted, turned inside out and back. When human is put in some certain situation, it is not possible to remain unchanged and not always the way of change can be prognosed.
I wonder if this need of proof comes from pure boredom or some self-esteem issues.
