Beware the Unintended – My fourteenth card
Funny summary:
Today I feel like a vacuum-packed king size mattress from Temu somehow compressed into breast-pocket format.
So the solution, naturally, is to walk at least 10 kilometers and hope the factory settings return somewhere around kilometer seven.
Reflection:
The card about unintended consequences feels strangely accurate.
The rowing team wanted victory, but became too comfortable in harmony.
Sometimes improving one thing quietly weakens another.
I think people do this to themselves too.
We optimize for safety, control, efficiency, emotional balance… and suddenly realize we accidentally compressed parts of ourselves in the process.
Maybe that’s why walking helps.
Not because it solves life, but because movement slowly gives shape back to things that have been vacuum-sealed by overthinking, pressure, or exhaustion.
Sometimes the unintended consequence of stopping for a while… is that you start becoming human again.

The unintended consequence of meditation:
they stopped obsessing about winning
and accidentally became happier humans.
Which probably confused everyone watching competitive rowing.
